Reborn of the Week - 1 October 2008

I was searching ebay.com for some reborns and having a look at the beautiful BOY babes out there. Babies tend to be a lot more GIRL reborns, but I thought I should highlight some boys.

Then I came across Asher by Tinkerbell Nursery. Oh wow. He is so beautiful and stunning. What a credit to the artist. I love this look on the reborns. Now, I know that this auction is finished, but I just wanted to point out how wonderful it is for the creator - Look at that wonderful price! So, Asher, congratulations you are Reborn of the Week!

New site and Two Reborn of the Weeks

Thank you to the people who have submitted their babies for Baby Of the Week. I've had a very stressful couple of weeks so I am a bit behind. If your baby has already been sold - fantastic!!

Please know that if your baby is not awarded a baby of the week it is not because I don't like your baby, rather I have found another that has pulled at my heart strings a bit more. Please continue the great work though!

In big news in Australian Reborning, there is an Australian Guild who has just made their debut! Beautiful Australian Babies for You (B.A.B.Y) is a wonderful site created by Leah of Tiny Earth Angels Nursery and Karina from Magical Mummy Moments Nursery I am so thrilled that this website has come along! It is filling a need in the Australian Reborn movement and therefore I hope other Aussies will get behind the site and support it!

In celebration of the Australian Guild site going live I am going to be awarding Reborn of the week to two Australian Based dolls this week.

The first goes to Aimee-Rose. Aimee-Rose is absolutely beautiful and is created by Karina of Magical Mummy Moments! What a great way to celebrate the launch of B.A.B.Y than also getting a Reborn of the Week! Look at the beautiful complexion of Aimee-Rose! And the Layette is absolutely breath-taking. She is one of the sweetest dolls I have seen I think!



Second baby of the week goes to Chenille. Chenille is created by Heavenly Creations Nursery! Have a look at that beautiful hair! I absolutely love the tones used in this gorgeous girl, and think the dress just makes her so complete. And have a look at those shoes!

Reference Photos

Sometimes it is hard for a Reborn Artist to find photos with a lot of detail of newborns. It's often hard to replicate these types of details from memory and very few artists have a newborn in their arms when they are painting.

So I went through my photos of my daughter and picked out a few key photos in the hope that this will help some artists trying to capture realism.

Reborn of the Week - 3rd September

Hi everyone! A new Reborn of the week for you to all have a look at!

Bradley is by the very talented Naomi of Precious Lullabies. Naomi is a Western Australian Reborn artist who a full time doll painter. Her works are fantastic and really beautiful and realistic. Bradley is from the Bountiful Baby Paisley sculpt by Denise Pratt. Paisley just happens to be one of my favourite sculpts! Hopefully Bradley gets a few more hits on ebay - he deserves it!

Welcome to lunarose - a little touch of magic

Welcome to my new blogging adventure. With my increasing obsession in obtaining a reborn doll for myself, I started to become a little obsessed. So I started making some bracelets, and looking around at all the different dolls out there.

So I thought, why not create a blog with my favourite dolls that I find during my time surfing, as well as listing any new bracelets I might have, or some graphics for etsy.

I plan on listing a Reborn of the Week every Wednesday with a link to the artist's website, the auction if there is one, and include a banner for the artist to use if they want. My awards don't MEAN much. It's just me and my favourites. But over time I have come to adore looking at all the different dolls I find. If you like the ROTW, then please comment and show your love!
